What must be taken into account when designing pressure equipment?<\/span><\/h4>\n

There are many things to think about before kicking off a pressure equipment design project. Make sure to consider at least these four points thoroughly in advance.<\/span><\/h4>\n

We cannot emphasize enough the importance of sufficient and correct initial information.\u00a0 It not only speeds up the design process but also helps to avoid expensive repair investments in the future.\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

When the basic information is in order, the correct material choices and strengths can significantly increase the years of uninterrupted use of the equipment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Industry and process-specific loads must be taken into account already during the initial design stages.\u00a0<\/b>Understanding the effects of internal and external forces on structures is essential in the design of pressure equipment.<\/span>\u00a0For example, pressure, cyclic loading, corrosive substances and high or low temperatures<\/b>\u00a0in the process set special requirements for the design.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Finnish Pressure Equipment Act (1144\/2016) and the European Pressure Equipment Directive <\/span>(2014\/68\/EU (PED)) <\/span>set special requirements, which we follow in the design process.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the beginning of the design process, it is also important to follow a correct area or country specific standard such as ASME or EN standard to meet the legislation of the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to following standards, CE marking of the finished product may also be necessary. CE mark guarantees that the equipment has been designed in accordance with EU safety requirements to meet high safety, health, and environmental protection requirements. We CE mark our finished pressure equipment in the EU and EEA area.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. High-quality final documentation<\/b><\/p>\n

High-quality final documentation ensures\u00a0<\/span>the safe use and maintenance of the pressure equipment<\/b>. Its importance is emphasised especially in the use, maintenance, repair or modification of the pressure equipment. Always ensure that the documentation is clear and sufficient.
