Workshop tours and inspections just got easier. West Welding launches a new remote virtual service to clients.
Travel restrictions have been limiting especially international visits to workshops. We decided to solve the issue by investing in new wearable camera system at our production unit.
With the help of a HD video camera solution that clips on to safety helmets, visits and inspections can now be carried out remotely. That enables clients to take part in any possible audition or inspection from anywhere in the world. Long distances will no longer be an issue.
What is more, operating remotely also eliminates travel costs, saves time and is friendly to the environment. That makes it a great option even in a long run.

The camera uses a HD video connection and the system can be integrated to ex. Microsoft Teams. It’s also possible to communicate with the system’s microphone and speaker.
Great are also the technical aspects of the system that creates as much of a firsthand experience as possible. The camera’s first-person view enables you to see everything firsthand in real time, but calls can also be recorded and shown later. HD video calls can be made in, for example Microsoft Teams or Zoom. Integrated microphones with noise cancellation and efficient speaker enable an effective two-way communication.
