Custom pressure equipment and steel structures

Our design engineers are technical experts with extensive experience in the design of various pressure equipment and steel structures. We have designed our own solutions since the founding of the company, for almost 40 years.

We are among the few experts in our field in Finland. Our company combines a long history of pressure equipment design, manufacturing and comprehensive project management. It is possible to obtain the entire delivery from the same company, from preliminary planning to the commissioning of new equipment.

Practical experience in manufacturing supports design

The clear strength of our operating model is that design and manufacturing are done under the same roof. We can ensure, already in the design phase, that the products we design are also manufactured sensibly and efficiently without product manufacturability issues.

The integration of design and manufacturing also enhances project communication and management. Information from both units is transferred seamlessly, and possible changes can be reacted to quickly. This results in efficiency and delivery reliability for the customer.

Comprehensive design for different projects

Pressure equipment design

Long experience is an asset in the design of demanding pressure equipment. In our operations, we rely on know-how accumulated over almost 40 years of equipment deliveries in various industries

Steel structure design

Our strong experience in pressure equipment design allows us to design demanding steel structures. We design and manufacture load-bearing steel structures that adhere to the European standard (EN 1090-1:2009) in accordance with the EXC3 execution class.

Design process

1

Concept design

  • Development and evaluation of options
  • Dimensioning
  • Preliminary strength calculation
  • Material technology design

The design process starts with identifying the goals and needs of the customer’s investment. Based on the initial information, we will develop different options and compare their risks and benefits. We will also complete dimensioning and perform a preliminary strength calculation and material selection.

2

Quote phase

  • Final material selections
  • Project scheduling
  • Possible interfaces and areas of responsibility

Based on the initial information, we will begin concept design and go through possible implementation methods. Once the concept design is ready, we will prepare a quote, in connection with which we will also finalise the project schedule.

If several operators are involved in the project, we will also agree on the coordination of interfaces and areas of responsibility.

3

Actual design phase

  • 2D and 3D modeling
  • Final strength calculation

In connection with the actual design phase, we utilise our expertise to map out the technical and standard requirements of the pressure equipment or steel structure. We pay attention to the physical properties of the materials, such as heat and corrosion resistance as well as thermal conductivity.

4

Transport and installation planning

  • Logistics planning
  • Packaging design
  • Installation planning

The design process extends all the way to the planning of logistics and installation. For example, logistics planning includes the planning of lifts, transports and transport routes. Our design service covers the successful completion of the entire project.

From design to comprehensive project implementation

Our company combines a long history of pressure equipment design, manufacturing and comprehensive project management. It is possible to obtain the entire delivery from the same operator, from preliminary planning to the commissioning of new equipment. Our long history of successful project management helps in managing the big picture. Read more on our project management page.
